Jacob has been full of energy ever since he was little, playing soccer and then AFL. Not yet able to satisfy his enthusiasm for physical activity, Jacob’s parents then enrolled him in gymnastics classes. After 6 years of training and competing as a part of his gymnastics club’s national stream, a friend introduced him to youth circus classes at age 11 and he never looked back. Attending after school classes at Warehouse Circus for a number of years, while continuing to play AFL as well as picking up Softball and Taekwondo. He became more involved in Warehouse Circus in his final years of school when he joined their performance troupe performing in community shows and events. Despite previously planning on becoming a builder, Jake auditioned for NICA in 2019, deciding that a career in circus sounded far more exciting than hitting a nail with a hammer. He is currently in his final year, specialising in Hoop Diving, Diabolo and Group Acrobatics.
