Parties at NICA

Join us to celebrate your special occasion with a circus twist at NICA’s custom built circus training studios in Prahran.

You will enjoy high-energy fun and games whilst discovering an array of circus activities in a safe and inclusive environment. 

NICA Parties are suitable for those aged 5 years and up. They are available all year round on Saturdays from 11am – 1pm or 1:30pm – 3:30pm, as well as Monday to Friday during NICA’s Holiday Program.

P.S. Our parties aren’t just for kids! Teens, adults and hens, book a special circus experience before taking advantage of all the restaurants, bars and nightlife Chapel Street has to offer, just metres away.

How will my party run?

Your party will run for 2 hours in total and will begin with a 1.5-hour circus workshop led by our fun circus trainers. Here you’ll journey through circus activities, from mesmerizing manipulation, balancing acts, amazing aerials plus dynamic ground activities and games. This will be followed by 30 minutes of ‘party time’ in your dedicated party space! 

NICA will provide you with a ‘party time’ space set up with trestle tables and chairs. You are free to bring your own decorations, tablecloths, party food and drinks which can be set up while the circus activities are running.


Need more time to celebrate?
Add an additional 30 minutes to celebrate at NICA in your dedicated party space after the circus workshop has finished.

Elevate the occasion by booking entertainment. NICA Represents can offer interactive children’s shows, face painting, balloon bending or roving performers. We have magicians, clowns, acrobats, puppeteers and several other specialist children's entertainers to wow your guests.

Strictly no food or drink is permitted in our training spaces. Food and drink can only be accessed in the party room and foyer.

NICA is not licenced for parties. No alcohol is permitted in the venue.

NICA does not offer catering as part of its packages, but you can BYO your own food and drinks or arrange to pick up food from one of the many restaurants close by on Chapel Street. 

A fridge and microwave are available to heat up or keep food chilled (please note that the fridge does not include a freezer).

No problem! If your expected number of guests either increases or decreases between the time you made the booking and paid the deposit, the balance owed can be adjusted to account for the difference if it pushes the party into a different cost bracket.

You can make an appointment with us to see the venue and to go over any question you may have.

Please wear clothing that is comfortable and easy to move in! We suggest tracksuit pants, short or leggings with a close-fitting T-Shirt or singlet and a jumper or jacket for between activities. Long hair must be tied back, and we ask for all jewellery to be removed.

Our trestle tables are 750 x 1800mm.

We can offer parties on a Sunday, however as NICA would typically be closed, these will have additional fees for staff and security. Please contact our team for further information or a quote.

Unfortunately, participants must be at least 5 years of age. Children under 5 are not permitted to be in NICA training spaces for safety reasons but they can stay in your party space under parental supervision.

Yes! All activities are age appropriate, low risk, and a lot of fun!

Yes! This may be possible depending on prior bookings. Any extensions must be arranged with the NICA Rec team in advance and will incur an additional fee. Please get in touch to discuss.

Cancellations made within 5 days of the event will incur a cancellation fee comprising of 50% of all contracted labour. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the event will incur the full negotiated fee.
