COMING HOME

About the show

What makes a place feel like home?

For NICA, it’s the people. The teachers who have passed on their knowledge. The students who have taken risks, found their feet and flown. The graduates who have carried NICA’s spirit out into the world. The audiences, families, friends and circus community who have filled these spaces with energy for 25 years.

This November, come and celebrate with us.

Coming Home is NICA’s 25th anniversary celebration: a spectacular, heartfelt trip through the stories that have made NICA what it is. Inspired by the NICA archives, the show turns the pages of our history, with generations of students, graduates and teachers sharing the stage, expect to see soaring aerials, wheels, hoops, bikes, foot juggling and plenty of circus skill.

As we celebrate where NICA has come from, we’re also looking towards the next 25 years. Students from Shanghai Circus School join us for the final iteration of the Beyond Our Boundaries project, reflecting NICA’s growing international connections and ambitions for the future.

You’re invited to help us celebrate our birthday and make yourself at home at NICA from 19-21 November 2026.

All proceeds from ticket sales and additional donations go towards NICA's Excellence Scholarship Fund.

Looking forward: Nurturing excellence

To conclude our 25th year as a newly independent organisation, we are proud to open the NICA Excellence Scholarship Fund.

As we step into the future together, we ask that you consider a contribution towards the launch of our Excellence Scholarship Fund alongside your ticket to our 25th Anniversary show. All proceeds and donations from Coming Home will go directly to the Fund, investing in the future of exceptional circus artists.

Thank you to everyone who has already rallied behind us.

Through this new Fund, NICA will offer tuition fee coverage for a Bachelor of Circus Arts student, helping recipients focus entirely on their training and artistic development.

The full NICA Excellence Scholarship will be awarded to a high scoring auditionee entering in 2027, who displays exceptional talent, potential for growth, and embodies NICA's values.

The Fund will help put world-class circus education within reach for students with outstanding promise.

When you give to the NICA Excellence Scholarship Fund, you are investing directly in the artists who will shape the future of contemporary circus.
