Student Hardship Fund
At NICA, our students devote their bodies, hearts, and futures to an art form that asks for everything.
The training hours of our Bachelor of Circus Arts program at NICA can be up to 38 hours a week- the same as a full-time job. The students cannot sustain this level of training without support.
Every act is supported by essential equipment: items as small as a $10 block of chalk or as significant as a $2,000 Cyr wheel.
For many students, these aren’t easy purchases. They are barriers.

Why Your Gift Matters
Some examples of how our students will be supported by your contribution:
Just $20 can provide the tape that protects a student’s wrists.
$80 pays for a health appointment, to prevent a niggle from becoming an injury.
$100 buys the acrobatic shoes that keep them safe.
$800 supports the ascent of a Corde Lisse artist.
$1,000 can ease the burden of rent and living expenses.
When you give to this fund, your intention becomes possibility, safety, artistry, and hope.
Support Students, Shape Their Today & Tomorrow
When you give to the NICA Student Hardship Fund, you become part of a story -where your contribution, no matter its size, creates real, tangible change.
This fund not only supports essential training equipment, but can also be allocated to help students meet basic needs such as rent, food, and medical expenses, so they can stay safe, healthy, and fully present in their full-time training.
Your generosity doesn’t just fund appointments and equipment. It affirms a student's belief that they belong here, that their art matters, and that their community stands with them.
Bespoke Support
Empower our students with the kind of support that you personally value. Whether it be a professional skill you can share with us, grocery shopping vouchers, contributions to our non-perishable student pantry, specific financial aid, or even securing show tickets for a student that will greaten their industry exposure - every contribution makes a meaningful impact on our students' lives.
