At NICA, we know circus is more than entertainment in the community: circus is a force for social change. Our Social Circus Outreach can extend beyond the lights and applause; it ventures into rural towns, remote Indigenous communities, aged-care centres, schools and neighbourhoods too often overlooked. Your gift brings circus into places where creativity, joy, and community are precious - and rare.

Every contribution matters.
Some of our social circus endeavors include:
To send a team of 3 NICA trainers to regional towns in WA who wouldn't otherwise have access to circus or arts, to run circus skills workshops for 10 days:
- We need to raise $30 000 per outreach
- Case Studies/past projects
To run a circus skills immersion project at a local aged care workshop:
-We need to raise $500 to fully subsidise the workshop
To create a bursary for a disadvantaged local primary school student to attend a after school recreational classes at NICA for a full term:
- We need to raise $400 per student per term
Circus that Changes Lives
Circus offers more than applause: it offers dignity, confidence, and healing.
Research from University of South Australia shows that children participating in circus-skills programs - learning acrobatics, balance, juggling, aerial arts - report significant improvements in mental wellbeing: less stress, greater self-esteem, elevated confidence and connection with others. For every dollar invested in such a program, there is a social return of $7 in future mental-health savings.
Our Social Circus Fund aims to extend these benefits to those who need it most.
