Bend the Air

Australia's ultimate aerial, acrobatics and circus competition

For the second consecutive year, NICA will host Bend the Air, Australia's ultimate aerial, acrobatics, and circus arts competition, established to give emerging artists the platform to showcase their talent.

The competition is a great opportunity for performers to challenge themselves, gain performance experience, and engage with the greater circus community in a fun and inspiring environment.

There are 3 main categories in which you can compete:

• 'Aerial Addicts'
  
  
• 'Acro Fanatics'
  
  
• 'Circus Freaks'
  
  

Categories are arranged by age and/or skill level.

HOW TO APPLY
All competitors must register for the category in which they wish to compete and pay a registration fee.

Entry into the ‘Aerial Addicts’ category involves two phases. Phase 1 requires you submit an online video audition to be reviewed by BTA’s panel of judges. If you are successful, you will progress to Phase 2 – the live competition.

‘Acro Fanatics’ and ‘Circus Freaks’ categories do not involve an audition process, simply complete the online entry form and payment to enter the competition.
