Daniel Power awarded Australia’s leading male aerialist 2016

NICA graduate and staff member, Daniel Power was awarded Australia’s leading male aerialist at The Australian Circus Festival Awards held 16-18 April 2016. Christy Shelper was awarded Australia’s Leading Female Aerialist, and 2003 NICA Graduate Leigh Marling was awarded the Elegance award.

Since graduating from the first intake of NICA’s Bachelor of Circus Arts in 2003, Daniel has had an exciting and successful career competing, performing and training within Australia and internationally.

In 2013 Daniel was awarded second place in the PPS (Pole Paradise Studio) Aerial Performance Tournament in Hong Kong. In 2012 he was awarded the Yellow Crane Honour trophy alongside Leigh Marning for their act titled One beautiful evening at the Wuhan International Acrobatic Art Festival of China.
