Sez (they/them): Noun - a brightly coloured, self-proclaimed “pocket rocket” raised by the likes of their backyard trampoline. See also: Adrenaline Gremlin.
Childhood for Sez meant being dropped off weekly at the nearby gymnastics centre, whilst teenagehood led them to discover the stage- through all too accurate renditions of Disney villains such as Maleficent and Scar. With this new found euphoria, Sez took up acting at the Mcdonald College for Performing Arts. They continued to train at the Australian Theatre For Young People as well as Legs on The Wall where they made their debut professional performance. Once deemed an adult, Sez went on to gain a Diploma Of Theatre Performance at Sydney Theatre School. However the acrobatic lifestyle was calling upon them once again, so Sez quite literally leapt into a Bachelor of Circus Arts at the National Institute of Circus Arts, graduating in 2017.
Sez has toured professionally throughout Australia with ensemble companies including One Fell Swoop, Long Answers for Simple Questions and performed in multiple cabaret line ups throughout the Adelaide, Melbourne and Perth Fringe. Sez regularly performs acrobatics for Melbourne based agency NICA Represents and appeared as an aerialist for Opera Australia’s production, Die MiesterSinger.
Always keeping things exciting, Sez’s most recent stage endeavour entails comedy burlesque routines through Melbourne’s Maison Burlesque.
