Luke Ha
Luke grew up in the Knox Gymnastics club in Ferntree Gully, Melbourne, so going on to study at NICA was a natural progression. He graduated in 2007 at the age of 21, and specialised in Straps, Chinese Pole and Flying Fork.
Since graduation Luke has developed an extensive international performing career, with many forays into coaching and training as well as doing rigging work and gaining a Dogging and Rigging Basic Qualification. His first contract was with the theme park Universal Studios Japan for 11 months as a Rope and Tissu artist and dancer, and it was here that he met his future wife Anni, a fellow performer.
Back in Australia Luke featured in Australia’s Got Talent as a semi finalist and performed in the Sydney Chinese New Year (Year of the Tiger) Parade in George St and Shanghai Lady Killer, with Sydney based Physical Theatre Company Stalker.

Luke also gained a range of coaching experience – coaching gymnastics back in Ferntree Gully, visiting schools with NICA graduate Timothy Endicott’s company Class Act Circus, and coaching Straps at Circus Joseph Ashton in Perth.
At the end of 2010 Luke and Anni moved to Macau, China, where Luke gained a 21 month contract to work with Dragone Entertainment Group.
Luke believes the one of the most beneficial things he gained from his 3 years at NICA was having access to the wisdom and experience of the trainers, notably Mr. Guang Rong Lu and Mr. Mathew Daniels. He greatly values the skills and knowledge obtained through the disciplined continuous training at NICA, as well as the opportunity to build networks and invaluable relationships with many people, not only people already in the industry but also fellow students and even recent graduate students.
