Idris Stanton & Joshua Phillips

Idris Stanton

Idris began his performing career over 10 years ago as part of a youth theatre in Goulburn N.S.W. In 2004 he attended a Ba Creative arts (performance) at the University of Wollongong, before moving to New Zealand to study a diploma in circus arts. In 2009 Idris graduated from the National Institute of Circus Arts in Melbourne.

A specialist Juggler, clown and ladder walker, Idris is also a capable magician, unicyclist and fire twirler.

Idris has worked as a professional entertainer across Australia as well as in New Zealand, including the National folk festival, the Auckland International buskers festival and the St. Kilda street festival.

Joshua Phillips

Originally from Goulburn NSW, Joshua began in physical theatre, youth circus and even studied Visual Arts at the Australian National University before pursuing his career in circus.

Joshua spent 3 years at circus school, training intensively at CircoArts, New Zealand and the National Institute of Circus Arts, Melbourne. He primarily specialises in balancing ladder, Chinese pole and juggling and also unicycle, stilts, acro-balance and fire twirling.

As a circus artist, Joshua has toured extensively across Australia and overseas performing at a variety of festivals and corporate events.
