About NICA Performs
From time to time, our building transforms to showcase the latest emerging talent of the circus industry. Sweeping away the crashmats and enveloping the seating bank in velveteen curtains, our beloved National Circus Centre converts into an immersive theatre space located just off Chapel Street, Prahran.
NICA routinely invites national and international directors to work alongside students to produce shows that are truly inspiring. Performances double as assessment pieces for our artists, who work on these projects with admirable dedication throughout the year.

Voyaging through the city's architectural corners, micro and macro spaces unfold into an expanse of connective pathways, seclusive rooms and celebratory lairs.
We're offered microcosmic glimpses into an engrossing civilisation inhabited by a collection of modern oddballs. Within these intimate settings, Proteus builds momentum while meandering through life circumstances..
