Parties at NICA

Join us to celebrate your special occasion with a circus twist!

NICA Rec’s parties are suitable for those aged 5 years and up. You will enjoy high-energy games and circus activities in a fun, safe and inclusive circus workshop at NICA’s impressive circus training centre in Prahran. 

P.S. Our parties aren’t just for kids! Teens, adults and hens, why should you miss out on all the fun? Enjoy a party with a difference and take advantage of all the restaurants, bars and nightlife Chapel Street has to offer, just metres away.

How will my party run?


Your party will run for 2 hours in total, including a 1.5-hour workshop led by NICA’s fun circus trainers followed by 30 minutes of ‘party time’ in your dedicated party space! 

You’ll choose three circus activities for your party. Choose from juggling and manipulation, hula-hoops, tight wire, tumbling/acrobatics, partner balancing, trampoline or static trapeze. 

NICA will provide you with a colourful circus themed electronic invitation and a ‘party time’ space set up with trestle tables and chairs. You are free to bring your own decorations, tablecloths, party food and drinks which can be set up while the circus activities are running. 

Choose between cleaning up yourself or we can do it for you for an additional fee ($88).

Wanting some entertainment for your party? NICA Represents can offer interactive children’s shows, face painting, balloon bending or roving performers. We have magicians, clowns, acrobats, puppeteers and several other specialist children's entertainers to wow your guests!

Availability 2024

NICA Rec parties are available all year round on Saturdays from 11am – 1pm or 1:30pm – 3:30pm, as well as Monday to Friday during the school holidays. Contact our team to see if your preferred date and time is available! 

We kindly request that parties run to the allocated times. Please note that additional charges will be incurred if a party runs overtime or if additional cleaning is required.

Pricing 

We calculate the cost of your party based on the total number of participants. We operate on a 1:8 trainer student ratio to ensure the safety of all participants and time on each apparatus! 

Up to 8 children: $330
9 – 16 children: $500

How to book?

Fill out the Birthday party form along with your details, including your preferred date and time.

If the date is available and you’d like to proceed with your booking, we’ll issue you with a Booking Confirmation along with payment options and your electronic invitation. 

You will need to pay a 50% deposit and return the signed Booking Confirmation to secure your party date. 

Payment of the balance will be due 5 days prior to the event.

Strictly no food or drink is permitted in our training spaces. Food and drink can only be accessed in the party room and foyer.

NICA is not licenced for parties. No alcohol is permitted in the venue.

Unfortunately, we cannot provide catering. You will need to arrange your own food and drink. We recommend simple snack food for parties. Please note that whilst COVIDSafe measures are in place, the kitchens are off limits which means no access to fridges or microwaves.

No problem! If your expected number of guests either increases or decreases between the time you made the booking and paid the deposit, the balance owed can be adjusted to account for the difference if it pushes the party into a different cost bracket.

You can make an appointment with us to see the venue and to go over any question you may have.

Please wear clothing that is comfortable and easy to move in! We suggest tracksuit pants, short or leggings with a close-fitting T-Shirt or singlet and a jumper or jacket for between activities. Long hair must be tied back, and we ask for all jewellery to be removed.

Our trestle tables are 750 x 1800mm.

We can offer parties on a Sunday, however as NICA would typically be closed, these will have additional fees for staff and security. Please contact our team for further information or a quote.

Unfortunately, participants must be at least 5 years of age. Children under 5 are not permitted to be in NICA training spaces for safety reasons but they can stay in your party space under parental supervision.

Yes! All activities are age appropriate, low risk, and a lot of fun!

Yes! This may be possible depending on prior bookings. Any extensions must be arranged with the NICA Rec team in advance and will incur an additional fee. Please get in touch to discuss.

Cancellations made within 5 days of the event will incur a cancellation fee comprising of 50% of all contracted labour. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the event will incur the full negotiated fee.
