Artist Bio

Isabelle has been bending her body – and the laws of physics – since the age of three. A small-town girl from the regional NSW town of Bega, Isabelle is a formally trained dancer, gymnast, and aerialist.

She served an impressive eight-year stint as part of the Fling Physical Theatre before being accepted to train and intern with one of Australia’s most regarded circus companies, Brisbane-based CIRCA – all while still in high school! From Brisbane to Melbourne, she made the move to Victoria to undertake her tertiary education, studying a Bachelor of Circus Arts at the National Institute of Circus Arts (NICA) where she specialised in Acrobatics, Trapeze and Bounce Juggling.

Today, her fierce and increasingly formidable talent has marked her as one of Australia’s most impressive emerging artists, hitting the radar of both national and international production houses alike for her world-class technical skill and performance charm.

As part of Na Djinang Circus, Isabelle performed in Social Staples throughout the Australian festival circuit including the Melbourne Fringe Festival, Catapult Circus Festival, and Adelaide Fringe Festival. Creating a lasting impression on the creative team, she then went on to be a co-creative in Na Djinangs second work Common Dissonance, which which was nominated for a Greenroom Award for Best Circus.

An electrifying combination of beauty, brains and talent, Isabelle is one of the Australian circus industry’s forceful rising stars.
