Elke

The epitome of modern circus, Elke is a fiercely talented and energetic contemporary performer with a unique proclivity for aerial art. Her style is a rare and gorgeous nexus of dance, aerial and theatre; impossible to imagine and must be seen to be believed. 

Currently based in Berlin, Germany, Elke is a born-and-bred Western Australian, having grown up in small coastal town where she was immersed heavily in dance, theatre and circus from as early as she can recall. At 17, she made the leap to enter the industry as a trained professional, leaving the west coast to study at the National Institute for Circus Arts (NICA) in Melbourne. Now graduated with a Bachelor in Circus Arts, Elke is becoming a formidable internationally recognised aerial talent, specialising in Dance Trapeze, Cyr Wheel, and Aerial Tube. She has featured professionally on stages throughout America, Europe and Australia as a cast member for shows with the likes of Circus Oz, La Clique, Palazzo, Chameleon Theatre and Strut n Fret. She is the very definition of “one to watch”.
