NICA participates in Heath Ledger oral history project

NICA has assisted the National Film & Sound Archive (NFSA) with their work on the Heath Ledger Young Artists Oral History Project. The project will record the expectations and aspirations of emerging artists as they embark on their chosen professional career.

NFSA has interviewed Josie Wardrope and Simon Reynolds, two final-year Bachelor of Circus Arts students at NICA. Follow-up interviews will be conducted at regular intervals to witness the progression of their careers.

The project aims to honour the late Ledger, who left us with a limited oral recording of his own artistic story. When completed, the project will reveal a thorough record of the artists’ early lives to benefit future aspiring artists.

Find out more about the project on the National Film & Sound Archive website; www.nfsa.gov.au
