Daniel Price

Formally trained in dance, acrobatics and trampolining since the age of four, Daniel attended the full time Dance Program at Melbourne Dance Theatre in 2008. He then was accepted into Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School on a scholarship. After graduating from high school he was selected for the prestigious 3 year Bachelor of Circus Arts at the National Institute of Circus Arts. At NICA he specialised in roué cyr wheel, group acrobatics and aerial straps.

In 2012, during his second year at NICA, Daniel was part of the memorable Circotic troupe that thrilled Australia’s Got Talent audiences and the critically acclaimed Melbourne Dance Theatre production of Angel’s Eyes at the Adelaide Fringe Festival. In 2013 he travelled to the Circa Festival du Cirque Actuel in Auch France, and performed as part of the spectacular opening act at the Festival Mondial du Cirque de Demain in Paris.

After graduating from NICA Daniel secured a long term contract on P&O Cruises. He performed with Circolombia in the Grayboy Entertainment production of ‘Life As We Know It’, plus ‘Transformation’, ‘Dawn Chorous’ and ‘Fuego’ onboard P&O’s Pacific Dawn.

In 2015 Daniel toured Macau and South Korean with The Really Useful Group’s production of Cats The Musical. He featured as the dynamic ‘Tumblebrutus,’ utilising both his acrobatics and dance skills. He ended the year performing roué cyr as part of the Dion & Randall’s Christmas pageant production at the Grand Indonesia Mall in Jakarta.

A year of travel followed in 2016. Daniel performed and featured in a TV documentary for Cirque Du Soleil called ‘Run Away With Cirque Du Soleil.’ The documentary was filmed in Melbourne, Buenos Aires and Montreal, and went to air a number of times on free-to-air television throughout Australia ahead of the Australian tour of Cirque du Soleil’s Kooza. In addition, Daniel travelled to Montreal and Amsterdam to train with some of the best circus artists in the world, as well as to Los Angeles for an invitation-only audition. Daniel also performed at a number of high-end corporate functions, including a feature act at the Victorian Government’s ‘Premiers Reception’ and Porsche Cars Australia’s Launch function.
