Train the Trainer on Tour
Is there a high need for Training of Trainers in your area?
Is training hard to access from your region?
Costs prohibitive? Travelling expensive?
Do you want training for your trainers that is particular to the needs of your community or organisation?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, then contact NICA to find out more about our Train the Trainer on Tour program: communitycircus@nica.com.au
The first Train the Trainer program was held in September 2006 in Dubbo. NICA was invited by the Department of Education & Training New South Wales, Circus Consultancy to train the growing number of teachers, social workers and circus trainers operating community and school based programs in the region.
It is a response that aims to bring training to those people who may find attending training in Melbourne difficult due to travel, family commitments or financial pressure. Train the Trainer on Tour is also aimed at developing a greater understanding of community-based work and the skills required of circus instructors wanting to use circus as a social intervention tool.
Train the Trainer on Tour also allows us to tailor the program to the needs of particular groups and communities, irrespective of age or experience. Although this program is fee for service, our team may be able to work in partnership with communities to secure the necessary funding.
