Social Circus

Social Circus is the common term for using circus as a tool for social change. Over the past 8 years NICA has been working to engage young people in circus activities. These successful projects build confidence, self-esteem, increase fitness, explore cultural identity and engage marginalised young people. The communities are as diverse as the Gulf of Carpentaria, Alice Springs, Broken Hill, Margaret River and Melbourne.

Circus can be used in working with youth at risk, marginalised groups, Indigenous groups, the mentally or physically disabled, juvenile offenders and survivors of assault. NICA welcomes enquiries from sponsors and organisations wishing to support or participate in these important initiatives.
