NICA is located on the Prahran campus of Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne, Australia. Training takes place in the new NICA National Circus Centre and the Sidney Myer Circus Studio, just a cartwheel away from the vibrant café, arts and fashion precinct of Chapel Street.
On Wednesday 4th April, Federal Treasurer The Hon. Peter Costello MP officially opened the new NICA National Circus Centre. The $10 million centre was built with funding of $8.3 million from the Commonwealth Government through the Department of Communications, Information Technology and the Arts, $1.2 million from Swinburne University and $300,000 from the Pratt Foundation. It is a state of the art, purpose built venue to house training and performances by NICA students as well as the wider circus community.
