Splits

A flexibility manoeuvre, where the legs are extended in a 180 degree split. Straddle or middle splits involves the legs extending to the left and right; front splits involves one leg is extending in front and the other leg is extended backward, both at right angles to the trunk. Ideally, the hips are square facing to the front, while both legs are turned out from the hips.
