NICA has an honorary Board of Directors with a maximum of 12 members. Members collectively have expertise in:

•	circus and performing arts
•	education (particularly arts education)
•	banking
•	finance
•	business management
•	sponsorship
•	marketing and promotion

The Board:

•	develops and reviews policy
•	makes key management appointments
•	ensures institutional objectives are achieved
•	ensures all statutory obligations are met
•	monitors financial viability
